AFCAT Eligibility Criteria

- Only Indian nationals are only eligible.
- Aspirants should be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training.

Educational Qualifications
- For Flying Branch Posts – Candidates should have 10+2 Marksheet Maths and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in each subject and must have a graduation degree (3 Years), BE/B Tech degree (4 years course), and Section A & B examination of associate membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- For Ground Duty (Technical) Branch – Applicant must hold 10+2 Marksheet Maths and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in each subject. Should have aeronautical engineer degree in Electronics, Mechanical, etc. fields as mention in notification.
- For Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch – Candidate who pass 12th class with minimum 50% marks. Must hold a graduation degree in a particular field like weapon systems (WS), Administration& Logistics, Accounts, Meteorology, or Law branch as ask.
Age Limit

How to Fill AFCAT 1 Application Form 2025?
Eligible applicants who fall under all the requirements mention above or available in the Notification PDF, must apply online for AFCAT 2025 before the last date. Here are the quick steps to fill out AFCAT 1 Application Form 2025.
- Aspirants for IAF are required to apply online by using the link https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in, or https://afcat.cdac.in.
- Go to the AFCAT homepage.
- Click on “CANDIDATE LOGIN” This will direct you to the AFCAT Sign-In page.
- Not Registered? Click “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE.”
- Fill in your details to generate a Login ID. A system-generated password will be sent to your registered email ID.
- Log in with your registered email ID and the system-generated password you received.
- If you need to reset your password or log out, simply follow the options on the screen. Keep your login credentials safe as you’ll need them throughout the selection process.
- Choose Your Entry and Review Instructions
- Choose between AFCAT or NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch.
- Before proceeding, click “INSTRUCTIONS” and carefully review them. After reading, acknowledge by ticking the checkbox confirming you’ve understood the instructions, then move forward.
- Click “FILL APPLICATION FORM” to start filling out the details like Full Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, etc.
- Click “Save & Continue.”
- A confirmation box will appear to ensure the details entered are correct. Double-check information as these details, especially Date of Birth and Gender, cannot be changed later, so make sure everything is accurate.
- Fill in Educational Details and Click “Save & Continue” to move to the next section.
- Select the courses you are applying for and click on Save & Continue.
- Enter your contact information like address, phone number, and email address.
- Click on Save & Continue. to proceed to the next step.
- Upload Required Documents in file size between 10 KB and 50 KB and jpg or jpeg format.
