All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) is now conducted as NEET PG. This entrance exam is a computer-based test conducted once a year with a duration of 210 minutes. The number of test takers is increasing with an estimated 3,00,000 candidates expected in 2025. It covers subjects as outlined in the Graduate Medical Education Regulations. NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with an MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate as per the Indian Medical Council Act and registration with the Indian or state medical council are eligible to apply for NEET PG 2025. Indian citizens who graduated from foreign medical colleges must pass the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). For foreign nationals, registration from the country of their medical qualification is required, though Medical Council of India (MCI) registration is not mandatory. Applicant must have completed a one-year internship on or before March 2025. The age of the applicant must be at least 17 years old by 31 December 2025. No upper age limit as per the Supreme Court’s order.

The NEET PG 2024 application fee is Rs. 3,500 for unreserved/general candidates and Rs. 2,500 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The NEET Exam Fee is to be paid online through a credit or debit card or other available payment modes. Once submitted application forms cannot be withdrawn and the fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

In the NEET PG Exam, candidates earn 4 marks for each correct answer. 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer that reflects a 25% negative marking scheme. During the online application process for NEET PG 2025, candidates must select their preferred test city, subject to the availability of test centres. Exam City Allotment is done on a first-come, first-served basis. If a seat is not available in the preferred State/UT, candidates can choose “OTHERS” from the options provided. NEET PG Counselling Process

Eligibility for participation in counselling for PG seat allotment will adhere to the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations 2023, as notified by the NMC with prior approval from the MoHFW, Government of India. NBEMS has no role in counselling and allotment of PG seats.
